ABC. What ABC stands for? In the Malay language ABC means 'Ais Batu Campur' or commonly known as 'ais kacang'. It is one of the Malaysian exquisite desserts that originally consists of shaved ice and red beans - nowadays ABC is much more luxury with a lot of scrumptious toppings.
Throughout the evolution of taste and preferences, ABC has evolved to a more complicated but delicious-looking dessert. In Malaysia, they put a mound of shaved ice sweetened by the aromatic sweet flavored syrup such as sarsaparilla syrup, evaporated milk, rose syrup or even palm sugar syrup. The scrumptious toppings come in variants of color and a generous portion of grass jelly, 'attap chi' or palm seed, red beans ; peanuts, nata de' coco, sweet corn and cendol. In another region part of Malaysia -Penang, the best 'ais kacang' is usually served with the exotic taste of durian ice cream and some thin slices of bananas; though the price will be a little bit pricey, but who cares all hail the queen of desserts!
ABC should be in the food hunting list; someone like me who is a food lover always on the search for the places that sells the best ABC that I will dying to eat again.
